Jennifer Montjoy

JENNIFER MONTJOY, MSN, PH.D., PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER

Jennifer or “Jen” (she/her/hers) Montjoy is a psychedelic trainer, scientist, and integrative psychiatric provider. Her primary professional passions have been providing ethical, safe psychedelic services, training other clinicians to achieve the same in their clinical practices, and optimizing client outcomes. Since completing a Master of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2016, Jen has had the privilege of facilitating approximately one thousand individual ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) sessions and has trained more than 250 licensed clinicians from 31 states across the U.S. While working as a psychiatric provider in Tucson, Jen completed a Ph.D. from the University of Arizona. Her doctorate research focus was investigating ketamine’s psychotherapeutic efficacy as a psychedelic for the treatment of chronic traumatic stress through a biobehavioral neuroscience worldview.

Spiritual practice and ceremony have also imbued Jen’s personal and clinical practice. Incorporating ceremony and ritual, based on each individual’s beliefs, has augmented her clients’ sense of well-being during and post-KAP treatment. In September 2021, she completed Web of Life’s one-year Animist ministry ordainment program. Animism is a non-religious, earth-honoring spiritual practice that emphasizes the sacred connection between the seen and unseen natural world, humans, and non-human peoples. When not immersed in professional endeavors, Jen enjoys dancing, riding her Sportster, traveling, and cherished moments with friends and family.

Heather Schaffer

HEATHER SCHAFFER, ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

Heather is originally from New England and relocated to Tucson, Arizona where she lives with her husband and daughter. She has a passion for arts of all kinds, and has poured years of dedication into painting, ceramics, and jewelry making. Art and creation are a daily practice for Heather, but there are many other things that help to define who she is and why she is here. Heather has been perceptive to the energy of others for as long as she can remember. That, coupled with her enthusiasm for helping and guiding others through their life experiences, led her to the healing practice of Reiki. She and her husband went through their attunements together, and in further pursuit of lending their services to others, started a massage and reiki practice where they often work in tandem.

Heather believes her purpose in life is to help others in any way that she can. She feels that psychedelic-assisted therapy is a powerful and underutilized tool for facilitating the healing journey; and looks forward to assisting patients at Resilience Behavioral Health Solutions.

Outside of work, Heather enjoys painting, dancing, homemaking, exploring nature, and spending quality time with her family and friends.
